Hey Kinder Friends,

Well we are in full Back to School swing around here. It's been fun with all those last minute sales and such. It kind of feels like an episode of The Amazing Race as we dash a little closer to the finish line. In just a short week we will have a new group of Kinders on our hands and the days will take on a whole new meaning. Emergency 911!

It's a Kindergarten Emergency...call 911.

I went out of town and left behind,

All those Capital letters for my kids to find.

Capitals should be here.

Capitals should be there.

I looked at their writing and capital letters were...not even there!

Tell me what happened.

What should I do?

Can you imagine if this happened to you?

It's a Kindergarten Emergency of the worst kind.

All those lessons and capitals they left behind.

I needed some help and I needed it QUICK!

So out come the Alpha Pops right on a stick!

So out come the capitals dumped on the floor.

You ask how this happened and I have not a clue.

But if it happened to me, it can happen to YOU!

We got out the anchor chart and had a good look.

And then we found capitals right in a book!

And talked about what gets a capital and what does NOT!

Sight Words

I have sight words on my mind and it has been a hot topic in a few places that I have been this week. As I was catching up on my blogging time late this evening, I came across a post on TBA with a video from HeidiSongs so I went to see if I could find some more. 

Hey Heidi, you just sold me on DOWN! I love it! So I am going back for more!

If you could just see me making my curvy Ss in my living room! I sure hope the family stays upstairs! I am new to HeidiSongs but I have a real good feeling I have a few kinder friends who I would like to try this out on. I am going to do a little research and I will post what I find. But I have to admit... I think this might be catchy because I have Ss stuck in my head and I am kind of itching to sing the DOWN song too! 

Lots of Letters!

There is actually a craft organizer that fits all of the letters with room to spare. So, come on friends and wrangle up those letters, get those wiggle little s's and run away z's because this little organizer goes together like a breeze. Found at JoAnn Fabrics. And I didn't straighten all the letters for the picture because you know it is going to look more like this inside the classroom...
