Math Masks

Where do I start? I was out shopping with Mr. Kindergarten and saw these fantastically fabulous masks! As he was moaning and groaning on the other aisle, I was able to snap this shot so I could give myself a mental image of these cute things and figure out how to use them. And when I figure out how to use them, I am going to make a mad dash to Michael's and throw them in my cart lickety split! I was thinking these could be used to model story problems and incorporate the ELL Strategy Total Physical Response! OM~gosh, brilliant! I am so excited that my head is spinning with ADHD that I can't figure out how many of these I need and how many of each one! These masks are a dollar but each week there is a coupon! Maybe I could pile up a bunch of coupon carrying teacher friends to help me out? And if I can't find enough friends to fall for this FUN FILLED event, I guess I have to go in and out of the store about 20 times! And don't think I won't do it!

I found some very similar to these at Target. I bought 5 of the frogs so that we could act out the song 5 Green and Speckled Frogs. And of course I bought the bee, butterflies and ladybugs too. Whenever I see cute stuff my motto is "buy now, think later" lol!!!

I got the same ones. Planning to use them for 5 Green Speckled Frogs, and The Grouchy Ladybug. I found spider ones earlier which I'll use for Anasi Stories.

Aw we!! I have these too and I use them to act out stories and poems. I also put some in our big book center and the kids use them when they act stories. I LOVE the dollar aisle!!

Dropping in from the Monday hop. This is an excellent idea. I picked some similar masks up at target. Haven't used them with my oldest yet because I wasn't sure how I wanted to use them. Now, I'm inspired!

What is it about things that cost a dollar? I swear it gets me every time! I can't resist the price and never need a really excuse to buy it. No wonder my classroom will take a month to pack up. Should I be getting worried???
Love this blog.
