Penny Stamps Makeover!

The other day the children were working on numbers and number sets and they asked me for more "penny stamps" and I told them I had to make them and would bring them to school the next day. I didn't have a good collection of water or coke bottle tops so I began digging in my secret stash of tricks. I found foam geometric shapes I had previously purchased at Target Dollar Spot. I bought them to go in my Counting Jar when we were learning about geometric solids. I realized the bag had fifty shapes in it and I would not really need fifty in my counting jar. I decided to use the shapes instead of bottle tops this time around. I have to say I like the new improved version so I guess the new name would have to be "Double Penny Stamps!" Either way you look at it these are a lot cheaper than any stamps you will find in a store. If you need additional information on the original "Penny Stamps" please use the search feature on my blog sidebar.
And I had a special request from ESMERALDA in my class to make a recording page. I wanted to share it with you. By clicking on the link it will take you to two free recording pages for your "Penny Stamps." I hope you and your class enjoy them as much as we are. I would love your feedback if you have time. On a recent trip to Target these shapes were still available.

I totally love these. Just today the pre-school teacher came over to ask if I had any star shaped stamps that were really small. I showed her your penny stamps and she FREAKED out... I think she is drinking Diet Coke even as we speak! Brilliant!
