Go ahead and call me Silly Sally. I found these alphabet stamps at Michael's the other day and had to grab them for a dollar. Yes, teacher friends, a little dollar for the entire alphabet. Ok, so you can see by the picture that they are TEENY TINY but friends, it is the ENTIRE alphabet for a dollar! And can you see that wiggle "a"? That "a" font on that stamp is the same one that is on Observation Survey! OM~gosh, life is fantastic! Alright so I have NO CLUE what I am doing with these yet, so I thought I would just go on a leap of faith and two hard earned dollars and just figure it out later! I am thinking something...Chicka Chicka BOOM BOOM maybe?

Oh...SOOOOOO many things with alphabet stamps! Read, write, stamp sight words...spell your name...sort vowels and consonants...stamp and trace for handwriting practice...basically anything they can write, trace, copy or read can have a stamping element. I get out mine out at the beginning of the year and have to put them away for a while because my kids get sick of using them so much! :) You will find lots and lots of uses!!

Forgot to tell you these are teeny tiny stamps...
Great minds think alike! I too bought the dollar alphabet stamps from Michaels. I had my son stamp the missing letters/phonic blends in a series of clues I typed up. Check out my Missing Letters Mystery post: http://deceptivelyeducational.blogspot.com/2011/05/missing-letters-mystery.html. These are GREAT for fine motor practice!
