I Love Apples And Always Will!

Hello Kinder Friends,
It's been a fast week and we have had a little fun. I was on the hunt for a few new apple books and this one is my new favorite. If you are an apple or dog lover you will want to get your hands on Apple Pie ABC. It was a perfect book to go along with some writing lessons we were working on several weeks ago.

Before we got down to some serious apple work we had to have a little apple sorting fun because as soon as I came to school with a big bag of apples everyone wanted a closer look.

And then we got to work because it's...

And we had some serious work to do...

Real serious work!

And just like that and into the pot it goes.

No recipe...just a wish and a hope and a prayer...

And boy was it good!

I just love apples what can I say? They remind me of childhood and kindergarten today, tomorrow and yesterday!

Crisscross!

Hello Kinder Friends,
I am finally able to go through some emails after the storm and power issues. I am catching up and putting all the pieces back together. By request I have added the Crisscross I Can Be Posters, Poem and Printables to my TpT store. I plan on using these to teach the Rules of Good Listening and to hang in my classroom, I am also making these into a big class book for our library and a large poster sized poster for independent reading with pointers. These are simple to prepare and get ready for the beginning of the year in a snap and I just love that!

Last year I was able to find this book which my class really enjoyed! It was a perfect book to read when we made applesauce. And last year the applesauce was the very best. I can't wait to do it again! And as I was looking around for apple books, I found some new ones that I am sure to order.

One Red Apple
Happy Apple Season Friends! All this apple talk makes me want some candy apples...

Crisscross!

Hello Kinder friends,
School is starting and really it is just around the corner. Are you ready? You know one of the first things we teach are rules and procedures to help keep our classrooms running in tip top shape. One of the most important lessons we teach is how to be a good listener. The Rules of Good Listening are essential. I wanted to make something that would help to teach the rules and serve as a visual reminder in the classroom. I have created the Crisscross I Can Be... Posters, Poem and Printables set. I am planning on copying and laminating the poster set to display in the classroom, copying and laminating one to make a book for our classroom library and using the printables to make a large poetry chart so the children can use it with reading pointers for Read to Self or Read to Somebody. I have uploaded it to my Teachers Notebook store. If you are interested just click on the image above. And really in no time at all you will be ready to teach The Rules of Good Listening!

And in case you had trouble shopping yesterday...the sale has been extended and is better than before...more sale items included and new products have been added.

Mini Caramel Apples!

This was too cute not to post... This might just be the way to have some caramel apples with young children without all the mess. I like the technique for creating the small apples and would love to modify the actual recipe so that it is Kinder fast. All in all, a recipe worth checking out!
