Saving Videos

When I found this video clip I was so excited. I could not wait to share this with my friends. Then I remembered that my district will not allow me to show videos from YouTube. I was so excited to see this post on Classroom Freebies too!

Story Maker!

I swear I am having so much fun collecting ideas to incorporate technology into our existing classroom activities and themes. I found this little gem this morning and my head is already spinning with the possibilities that this could offer. You have to view this video and tell me what you think. I really liked the part where it talks about children evaluating the writing of their peers without knowing who the author is. I also thought different kindergarten classes could write a story and then someone independent could evaluate each story. This sounds interesting and fun and a great way to work on story writing. What do you think?

Just Spotted...Fuzzy Fingers!

In my neck of the woods Fuzzy Fingers has been a hot topic. Before I knew I needed them, I had seen them as several Dollar Tree stores around town. In fact, there are several different types and sizes available at Dollar Tree. I have used the mittens and the ones with handles in my classroom this year and I love them. My favorites are the ones that you can throw in the wash and use over and over. If you can't find Fuzzy Fingers you might stop in Dollar Tree for these other types. But if you are really looking for the Fuzzy Finger look at your local Wal Mart in the cleaning section. I spotted these today for .98 cents.
The products at both stores are made by the same material and I believe the same company. Oh, and they come in lots of cute colors just in case you just had to know that! These are just perfect for cleaning your classroom electronics!

New Friends at education.com!

I was contacted today by some new friends at education.com! I was asked to take a look around. And I just wanted to share with you this activity I saw on the site. Since most teachers I know have raided the Dollar Spot for Dr. Seuss stuff and we are now READY to celebrate the works of Dr. Seuss, I thought this was the perfect activity to link up and show you. Let me know what you think of the site and what fun stuff you have found!

And don't forget to enter the GiVeAwAy below because this is just getting started!

Doesn't Little Cat A just make you want to go to school?

ABC Mouse!

I was at a conference today standing and waiting, waiting and standing for the next session when I heard that ABC Mouse is free to public schools. I think I almost fell over when someone said the word free. I think I needed something free after paying an arm and a leg for any possible kind of dice a teacher could use. WHEW! I need a little free in my life right now. I am just about to go in and set up my account! This is probably the best news I have heard all day!
